JK Rowling recently zoomed in on a Zoom call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, to find out that it was… not President Zelensky. Rowling, however ridiculed of Russian-based comedy duo Vovan and Lexus, who pretended to be president in an interview.
Rowling agreed to chat with him Lumos charity, which works in the Zhytomyr region of Ukraine to help women and children who have become vulnerable to the ongoing Russian aggression. However, Vovan and Lexus – who had previously mocked prominent people such as Vice President Kamala Harris and Prince Harry – asked Harry Potter author if Dumbledore was really gay and who he slept with, and added that it was “hopefully not a transgender,” a reference to Rowling’s widespread transphobia.
Elsewhere in the interview, pranksters told Rowling that Ukraine writes “Avada Kedavra” – the Harry Potter “killing the curse” – on missiles, and asked to buy weapons with money from his charity. The duo left their cameras on throughout the interview, allowing Rowling to fall for the head trick. Check out the (incredibly awkward) interview below.
Surprisingly, Rowling finds herself a bit different from Russian President Vladimir Putin, who SAYS both are the same because they are both victims of the cancel culture. Rowling, who co -wrote this year Amazing Animals: The Secrets of Dumbledore, continues to say strange and hurtful things about transgender people for no reason, including Overview that making it easier for people to get a Gender Recognition Certificate will lead to more sexual assault (or something). Obviously he wasn’t bright.
