Impractical Jokers Co-star Joe Gatto has announced his departure from the long-hidden camera prank show.
In a statement released on New Year’s Eve, Gatto explained that he focused on co-parenting after his wife’s divorce.
“Sorry in advance for the long and more serious-than-usual note below, I just wanted to let you all know that I will no longer be involved in Impractical Jokers, ”Gatto wrote. “With my friends, I spent a decade of my life building this franchise and I can’t be proud of what has been accomplished. However, due to some issues in my personal life, I had to leave. Bessy and I decided to separate, so now I have to focus on my very own father and co -parent of our two wonderful children.
Starring Gatto Impractical Jokers with his longtime friends and members of the comedy troupe The Tenderloins: James “Murr” Murray, Brian “Q” Quinn, and Sal Vulcano. In their own statement, the three said they would continue the show without Gatto.
“Hello everyone, so here we are… After all these years together, we never thought we could Impractical Jokers no Joe. While we are sad to see him come, we want to continue to make people laugh, our relationship to continue to work with the members of our team that we consider family. With the support of our fans, we will be back to create a new chapter on Impractical Jokers in January, ”the statement read.
Impractical Jokers recently renewed for its 10th season. The new episodes will air later this year on truTV.
