Joker 2 Composer Begins Work on Folie à Deux Music


As production continues Joker: Madness for Twoaward-winning composer Hildur Guðnadóttir has officially confirmed her return as composer for the upcoming sequel.

Talked to different, the Icelandic composer revealed that he has begun composing music for the Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga-led DC film, which reportedly has some musical elements in the story. Guðnadóttir also feels that she reached her peak as an artist at the age of 40.

“I have a better understanding of what I need to function as a person – what helps me maintain my body, my mind, and my creative process,” says the composer. “I feel like I’m just starting to learn that now. I’m not very strategic about how I choose new projects. It’s usually very clear very quickly whether a project will agree with me or not.

This marks the third collaboration between the acclaimed composer and Phoenix, after first working together on the biblical drama Mary Magdalene. For his work in the 2019 film, the Joker 2 The composer has won several awards including an Oscar, a Golden Globe, and a Grammy for Best Original Score.

Joker: Madness for Two Todd Phillips will once again direct. The film will feature the return of Joaquin Phoenix as he reprises his Oscar-winning role as the titular DC villain. She will be joined by Grammy-winning superstar Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn.

The 2019 film was a critical and commercial success, with a total gross of over $1 billion at the box office, making it the highest-grossing R-rated film of all time. It received recognition from several major award-giving bodies, including two Oscars and two Golden Globes, both for Best Actor and Best Original Sound.
