Kandi Burruss on How SWV & Xscape Shows Are Different from Housewives

Girl groups in the 90s SWVCheryl “Coco” Gamble, Tamara “Taj” George and Leanne “Lelee” Lyons-AND XscapeKandi Burruss, Tameka “Tiny” Harris, LaTocha Scott-Bivens and Tamika Scott—reunited for a once-in-a-lifetime performance in Bravo’s new six-part limited series SWV & Xscape: The Queens of R&B. But their music revival doesn’t come without tons of behind-the-scenes drama, as Kandi teased AND! NEwS.

“You get to see all the ins and outs of what it takes to do a show like that together, but also how you have two powerful groups that are basically butting heads,” The Real Housewives of Atlanta star revealed. “We’re scratching our heads trying to figure it out and then, through all of that, we’re also dealing with our own personal issues as a group—whether it’s family issues, whether it’s business issue where we’re not on the same page.”

Despite sometimes disagreeing with the creative process, the reality star assured fans, “At the end of the day, you have to see how we all try to be professional and give the fans what they want , even if everything behind the scenes is falling apart.”
