The 38-year-old contemplated taking on co-hosting duties with Nick Cannon for Day shift actor and his daughter Corinne Foxx in their show Defeated Shazam because of his continued hospitalization. And he also took a moment to send love to the father-daughter duo.
“He’s one of the most incredibly talented people in the industry,” Kelly said TODAY May 12“and it’s a great honor to be asked to warm Corinne’s seat for her while everything is going on.”
He added, “This is very fun. I hope I do his justice.”
Kelly’s comments come a week after Jamie’s is back on social media to thank the fans for their support as well as shout out to Wild ‘n Out host, who took over the game show with Kelly during the Foxx family’s absence.
“Appreciate all the love!!!” the 55-year-old wrote in Instagram May 3. “Feeling blessed.”
In his Instagram Stories that day, he added, “Appreciate ya my boy @nickcannon see u all soon.”
