Kevin Hart and Dwayne Johnson are no strangers to working together in films, and according to Hart, the duo is already discussing what the future holds for their pairing.
Speaking to Variety during the red carpet for the 2023 Academy Awards, Hart was asked when he and Johnson would work together again. Hart joked that he just talked to her and that the pair have “the ball rolling” on some ideas, which is another. Jumanji film.
“We have to do it soon,” Hart said. “I spoke to him the other day. Right now, we started the ball with some big ideas…We are talking, of course, different Jumanji. It was a conversation. [We’re] Just thinking about the thing that could work out what could or could be the last chapter of him and me. We felt we needed something big to end our duo and not just leave it unfinished like something we could say, ‘this is our last and final movie.”
When asked why a film should mean the end of the pairing on the big screen, Hart quickly corrected himself, saying it was something the pair discussed. Hart went on to note that it could be something like another franchise or “something big,” but this is unknown at this time.
“We talked about it. It could be another franchise. This is going to be something big. BUT [we’re] trying to figure out what that thing is. That is the focus point now,” said Hart.
