Knocking Cabin Digital Release Date Set for late March

Universal Pictures has announced the Knocking in the Cabin digital release date.

Appreciate director M. Night Shyamalan Knocking in the Cabin will be available digitally starting March 24. Shyamalan wrote and directed the film based on the 2018 novel by Paul Tremblay. The exciting stars Dave Bautista (Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3), Jonathan Groff (Hamilton, Mindhunter), Ben Aldridge (Pennyworth, Fleabag), Nikki Amuka-Bird (way), newcomers Kristen Cui, Abby Quinn (Little Girl), and Rupert Grint (disciple).

Knocking in the Cabin Special digital features include the following:

“While on vacation at a remote cabin, a little girl and her parents are taken hostage by four armed strangers who demand that the family make an irrational choice to avoid the apocalypse,” reads the synopsis. “With limited access to the outside world, the family must decide what they believe in before everything is lost.”

The film grossed over $54 million during its theatrical run, beating the reported $20 million production budget. However, it received mixed reactions from critics and audiences. “The performances and dialogue are stilted, some of them feel so carefully written and crafted that you remember you’re watching a fictional narrative,” read ComingSoon’s review.

Shyamalan also produced Knocking in the Cabin with Ashwin Rajan through their Blinding Edge Pictures banner, along with Marc Bienstock. Executive producers are Steven Schneider, Christos V. Konstantakopoulos, and Ashley Fox.
