Actor Lance Reddick recently passed away and left his mark in many shows like The wire and films like John Wick and its three sequels. However, he is also known for his video game roles such as his character Zavala in Fate 2 and Silence on horizon consecutively. However, he is also slated for at least one more play, in which he plays the titular role: Hellboy Web of Wyrd.
Hellboy creator Mike Mignola tweeted about it in reaction to the actor’s untimely death, saying Reddick was a “good guy.” He remembers meeting with him a few weeks ago, because Reddick was scheduled to voice Hellboy “for a new computer game.”
While he didn’t say it directly, he was talking about a third-person roguelite Hellboy Web of Wyrdwhich was revealed at The Game Awards in December 2022. Reddick can clearly be heard saying just three words in the reveal trailer — “Me? I’m angry” — but developer Upstream Arcade didn’t announce Reddick’s involvement at the time.
However, the game’s Twitter account did Retweet the tweet from Dark Horse Comics sent condolences to Reddick’s family and then released a statement saying, “Our hearts go out to Lance’s family, friends, colleagues, and fans. Lance is a great performer, generous with his time and attention – he has talent beyond compare, and we remain honored to have him as our Hellboy.
