Chai entered the holiday spirit this year, releasing a cover of Wham’s classic “Last Christmas”! on Christmas Day. It came with a new music video starring the band. See it below.
The band, releasing a new album Wink earlier this year, joined a stall of artists covering the iconic holiday song in recent years: Lucy Dacus recorded it in 2019 as part of its holiday cover series; Robyn it was made on BBC Radio 1 in 2018; Future Islands Gave a rendition in 2015; the xx shared a 2012 version; and Taylor Swift has a version of it on a 2007 holiday EP.
