Comedian John Oliver made a joke about how MCU movies lack substance in a recent episode of his hit HBO series, Last Week Tonight.

John Oliver’s Emmy -winning series known for taking on difficult topics with long rants every Sunday night on HBO. The series is now in the middle of its eighth season.
Marvel Cinematic Universe began in 2008 with the release of Jon Favreau Iron Man. In the years since the first film hit the big screen, the MCU has become arguably the biggest force in entertainment. That rule led to the blockbuster release of the films of choice Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, as well as beloved new Disney + series such as WandaVision and Loki.
