Latest On Plans For Roman Reign As Undisputed Champion

Roman Reigns was unable to defend that title at WWE WrestleMania 39 and will not be able to defend the title at WWE Night of Champions this Sunday. However, a new report suggests that Roman Reigns will defend his title belt at two upcoming WWE pay-per-view events.

According to Dave Meltzer in the latest issue of Wrestling Observer NewsletterRoman will defend the championship at Money in the Bank and SummerSlam.

Reigns is expected to defend the title at the 7/1 Money in the Bank show in London and again at SummerSlam. It feels very early for Sikoa, but the top candidates on the brand are the Usos and Bobby Lashley, and so far, Lashley hasn’t heated up to that level.

Latest In WWE Stand Up To Seth Rollins Role

Seth Rollins recently landed a role in Captain America: New World Order. According to a new report from Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful SelectWWE sees this as a positive for Seth and their brand as a whole.

One of the higher-ups reportedly said, “Colby (Lopez, Seth Rollins) is an amazing talent, and we hope these opportunities come his way. We were informed that the situation happened, and he’s done with filming. We’re planning sit-down interviews to make up for his absence and it’s full speed ahead.

A previous report suggested that there was reluctance for WWE to put the New World Heavyweight Championship on Seth Rollins. Rollins will face AJ Styles on Saturday, May 27, at WWE Night of Champions to determine the new champion.

Mercedes Moneas previously reported, suffered an injury, believed to be a broken ankle, while facing Willow Nightingale in the main event of NJPW Resurgence.

Mone was reportedly set to become the first ever NJPW STRONG Women’s Champion, but when she suffered an injury, plans had to be adjusted, with Willow replacing Mone as champion.

On or about April 27, the former IWGP Women’s Champion committed to a long-term deal, according to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

Mone agreed to a longer term deal with New Japan when his original deal expired on 4/27. We are told that the New Japan Strong championship and belt were created when he agreed to a longer term deal and both were made for him, after he showed strong drawing power for the San Jose show that sold out Civic Auditorium
