Via Twitter, James Gunn revealed many details about the DCU and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3including that we don’t know the entire DCU Chapter 1 line.
Many of the questions asked of Gunn are answers to a picture of the antagonist in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 — the High Evolutionary, played by Chukwudi Iwuji. The caption of the tweet said that the director can’t wait for fans to meet the character in the film.
A user asked how much was announced in the first chapter of the DCU. Gunn revealed that less than half of the slate has been revealed, meaning some DC projects that will be part of Chapter 1 have yet to be shown.
Another fan mentioned the idea to Matthew Lillard, who worked with Gunn in 2002 Scooby-Doo, is in the DCU. When the fan said they wanted to see Lillard play the DC hero Plastic Man, Gunn responded and revealed that he and Lillard were actually talking to the head of Warner Bros. – Lorenzo di Bonaventura – about making a Plastic man movie at that time.
Finally, Gunn made it clear that the ending was full Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 The trailer has been released and only ads and similar small videos are left to be released before the start of the sequel.
The first phase of the DC Universe, called Chapter One: Gods and Monsters, will feature many different movies and television shows. Some of the announced projects include a Batman and Robin-focused movie called The Brave and the Bolda Supergirl movie titled Supergirl: Girl of Tomorrowa Swamp Thing film, and many TV shows.
