Feed Me a man of many aliases.
The long-time electronic music legend, who produces under the alias Spor, is often regarded as a creative switchblade due to his many talents in the genre, exceptional ability in visual design and the strength of his brand.
Many of the skills have reunited for the launch of a new project from the famous UK artist, whose real name is Jon Gooch. In a recent announcement, he explained that Seventh Stitch is a passion project in the works since 2007.
Gooch likens the project to a “personal diary,” a safe place for sharing whatever emotions he’s currently experiencing. Since then, it has become a time capsule after accumulating years of collective memories and insights.

“Music has always been a release for me, but at the seventh stitch it’s a world I can breathe,” Gooch wrote in a Facebook post. “It grew into 30, 40, 50 tracks and more, and then into visual work, first as photography, then filming with various equipment, as well as learning on Max8 and other generative software to create visuals from just the code and the audio itself.”
Seventh Stitch’s revival begins with “who you’re holding for,” a brooding electronic stunner released last week. Listen below.
