Moses Sumney shared a new cover of Billie Holiday classic “I’ll See You.” Sumney’s take on the ballad appears in the eighth episode of National Geographic’s new limited series A Little Light. The show is based on the life of Miep Gies, the woman who helped hide Anne Frank and her family in her attic in Amsterdam. It’s Haim served as executive producer of music in the series, featuring covers by Danielle Haim, Kamasi Washington, Sharon Van Etten, Angel Olsen, Weyes Blood, and more. Earlier this month, Olsen shared her rendition of “My Reverie” for the show, while Van Etten teamed up with The Sopranos and The White Lotus actor Michael Imperioli for a version of Ink Spots’ “I Don’t Want The World On Fire.” Additionally, Weyes Blood recorded a new cover of the jazz standard “When You Smile,” Danielle Haim covers Doris Day’s “Until We Meet Again” and Kamasi Washington released his opinion on “ by Charlie Parker “Cheryl” for the series.
