LL’s bronze bust – adorned with his branded ’90s bucket hat and chain, natural – sits in a sun -powered gold -colored boombox. The side of the statue reads the anonymous quote: “If a task is once started, don’t leave until it’s finished. Work can be big or small, do it well or not at all.”
“Using traditional clay modeling techniques and multiple reference photographs, I did my artistic translation of LL, a collaboration of surface stages that emerged from an anatomical foundation,” Banfield wrote. about the Instagram project. “Using my years of lessons studying ancient Kemetic statues, masters of the Greco Roman and Italian Renaissance, I try to model the essence, energy, strength, sensitivity and determination of LL in this photo bust. “
The LL man couldn’t contain his excitement, sharing a series of photos of the statue on Instagram with the caption: “Anything is possible.”
