Los Angeles Orders COVID-19 Whole Vaccine for Concert and Movie Theaters

Los Angeles is the latest municipality to pass a broad mandate requiring full COVID-19 vaccination to enter indoor concerts, cinemas, restaurants, gyms, nail salons, coffee shop, and so on. Evidence of a previous negative COVID test is not acceptable however.

As in The Hollywood Reporter Finally, the ordinance passed the council by an 11-2 vote, and is expected to take effect Nov. 4. It is likely to be signed once it touches Mayor Eric Garcetti’s desk. He came out in favor of stricter coronavirus measures last week, saying, “I don’t want to bury another town employee, police officer, firefighter.”

Supported by the director of the LA County Department of Public Health Dr. Barbara Ferrer signed the ordinance, and added that “This amended health official order is consistent with the ongoing need to reduce the risk of carrying and increase vaccination coverage. It is a reasonable path forward that will position us to excel. yet to break the cycle of flows. ”

The mandate is unlikely to face organized opposition from the entertainment sector. “For the exhibition industry to fully recover, we need a lot of people to be vaccinated,” said John Fithian, president of the National Association of Theater Owners. “It’s pure science. Shooting rates were very good at one time in the US and then they fell. We need them to keep going. ”

It is followed by a same ordinance this summer in New York City, beginning in September. In August, Los Angeles was needed wearing a protective mask of all major external events, regardless of the vaccination status.

Stay safe and wear a mask. Better yet, take a face mask off Sangputanan Shop, where we provide 50% of net income to independent artists affected by the pandemic.
