Lul G Pleas Voluntary Manslaughter Stemming From Deadly 2019 Shooting


Californian rapper Lul G—former member of a Bay Area hip-hop group Under X RBE—pleaded no contest to voluntary manslaughter arising from a 2019 murder case, The Vacaville reporter reports. The rapper was arrested on September 21, 2019 after killing a 26-year-old man in July.

On Thursday (March 3), Lul G entered his plea in Solano County Superior Court, saying he would not offer a defense. He also admitted that he used a weapon during the shooting in 2019. Judge Carlos R. Gutierrez found him guilty according to the plea; The rapper will likely receive 21 years in state prison at a sentencing hearing on May 22.
