Can you imagine playing a cover band, only to be joined on stage by two real-life rock stars? That’s exactly what happened in Nashville earlier this week. Halestorm MAG SINGER Lizzy Hale and multi-platinum rocker Chris Daughtry took the stage with a Alice in Chains tribute band at a local venue, performing a rousing rendition of “Man in the Box.”

Nashville venue Basement East hosts “Grunge Night,” and on Tuesday (January 10) that includes an Alice in Chains tribute band called Into the Flood. Hale and Daughtry show off their powerful pipes while trading vocals on AIC’s breakthrough single “Man in the Box.” The night also included a rendition of “Rain When I Die” featuring Lzzy and her Halestorm bandmate Joe Hottinger.

“The funny thing is the dress I’m wearing is something I wore in the nineties as a teenager in middle school…” It’s a real gathering of some of the best Nashville musicians, all enjoy paying tribute to the rock idols we grew up listening to. We had so much fun! Love my Nash crew! And thanks also to all the die hard freaks and fam who came out to party with us! We arrived at the Lakeside Bar… and I met and hugged many of you!! Thanks for all your stories, dirty secrets and beer sharing!”

Hale and Daughtry recently too collaborated on a cover of Journey’s “Separate Ways” in celebration of the song’s 40th anniversary.
