After its premiere in theaters less than a month ago, the third entry in the Magic Mike franchise has a home release date, as well as the opportunity for fans to own the film early.
Warner Bros announced on Tuesday that Magic Mike’s Last Dance The Blu-ray and DVD release date is April 18, 2023. However, those looking to own the film early can do so through Premium Digital Ownership, which will allow people to purchase the film starting today for $24.99 digitally, or rent the film through premium video-on-demand services for $19.99, which gives you 48 hours of access to the film.
For those waiting until the April home release, Magic Mike’s Last Dance will show the option to enable “Filmmaker Mode,” which prevents all post-processing such as motion smoothing, preserves the correct aspect ratios, colors, and frame rates, and enables your TV to display the film as the filmmaker intended. It is important to note, however, that Filmmaker Mode is only available on certain televisions from certain manufacturers. Special features include a deleted scene and a featurette titled “Magic Mike’s New Moves.”
“‘Magic’ Mike Lane (Tatum) returns to the stage after a long hiatus, after a business deal falls apart, leaving him broke and taking bartending gigs in Florida,” reads the film’s synopsis. “For what he hopes is one last hurrah, Mike heads to London with a wealthy socialite (Hayek Pinault) who entices him with an offer he can’t refuse… and an agenda all his own. With everything on the line, once Mike discovers what’s really on his mind, can he – and the roster of new dancers he has to shape – make it through?
Magic Mike’s Last Dance Directed by Steven Soderbergh from a screenplay written by Reid Carolin. Joining Tatum and Hayek Pinault are Ayub Khan Din (Ackley Bridge), new Jemelia George, Juliette Motamed (We Are Women Girls), and Vicki Pepperdine (Johnny English Strikes Again).
