Megadeth and Lamb of God announced new set dates for their initial launch of the North American co-headlining tour. Trivium and In Flames provide support.
The package tour is over reschedule from last year until now in the summer due to the pandemic, with the expectation that it will start in early July. Now, it’s back on schedule, with a launch date of Aug. 20 in Austin, Texas.
Called “The Metal Tour of the Year”, the list of dates decreases with each schedule shift announcement, which now spans six weeks. From Texas, the hike will take Megadeth and the Lamb of God across the Southwest and up the West Coast before heading east. The itinerary ends on three Canadian dates.

Megadeth is now preparing the expected follow-up to their Grammy winning 2016 album Dystopia. Considering the progress the band has made on records after Dave Mustaine’s battle with throat cancer, it’s likely that it’s almost over. Meanwhile, the Lamb of God remains busy during the pandemic, releasing a victorious self -titled 2020 album (as well as a deluxe edition earlier this year) and hosting two high-profile livestream concerts.
