And Meghan and Harry have tried to protect their children’s privacy. “We are very conscious of protecting our children as much as we can,” he said, “and also understand the role they play in this historic family.”
And if they’re going to give the public a glimpse into their lives, they want to do it on their terms. “As a father and as parents, I think consent is an important part of it,” Harry said. “That’s when you have children, that’s how you allow what you share.”
While the documents say members of the royal family refuse to comment on their content, a senior royal source confirmed to NBC News that neither Buckingham Palace, Kensington Palace nor any other royal family members have was approached for comment on the content of the series. NBC News reached out to Netflix and production company Story Syndicate for comment but has not heard back.
