In what will be the most important news since the Lord announced 15 [drops tablet] ten commandments, Mel Brooks worked on World History, Part II. As in different reported, the 95-year-old legend will write and executive produce an eight-episode series for Hulu.
World History, Part I released in 1981. Written, directed, and starring Mel Brooks, it features sketches from five periods of history: the Stone Age, Old Testament, Roman Empire, Spanish Inquiry, and French Revolution. While the second part was never planned, the film ends with “future attractions,” which include Hitler on Ice and Jews in Space. Can we anticipate the parts or not, Part II became a reality.
“I can’t wait to once again tell the real truth about all the phony baloney stories that the world is united by what is believed to be History!” Brooks said in a statement.
The writers ’interior forms this month and production is expected to begin in 2022. Nick Kroll, Wanda Sykes, Ike Barinholtz, David Stassen, and Kevin Salter are also executive directors.
Brooks recently announced his first memoir, All About Me, which ends November 30th.
