Known for banning nostalgic synthwave music, The Midnight are set to share their sound on both continents next year.
The genre-leading duo will spend their leap each spring from town to town for nearly three dozen performances in North America before hitting Europe on 16 dates in whole countries. While the European tour has been announced for a long time, The Midnight is just part of the news of their North American dates.
While many know that the main Midnight is two members, they always perform as a perfect band. In a press release issued to announce the tour, The Midnight shared that they will be bringing more bands on the road and are set to perform new tracks.
“Over the past few months, we’ve spent a lot of time writing new music and being reminded to feel what it’s like to share what we’re doing with an audience,” The Midnight statement said. “We have the most fans, and we’re excited to bring an even more band, more performances and new songs to all the towns.”
In addition to the live announcement, fans are excited to see their retro-futuristic vision come to life in the form of a new music video for their track “Fire in the Sky” from their album on 2020 Monsters. In true synthwave fashion, the video is rich with neon lights, high-speed late-night drives, and some robots for good measure.
