Midsommar, Black Widow, Little Woman

Happy 26th birthday to Florence Pugh! Come for regular art skills, stay tuned for cooking videos – Florence is a joy to see no matter what the project. Over the past few years, Pugh has proven that he can really do it all, taking it out of the park by indie darlings and big blockbusters.

After a critical collapse in 2016, Florence starred in three major, very different releases in 2019, and has only continued to capture the screen since. Obviously there’s a lot more to be prepared from the actress, but, in the meantime, we’ve put together five of her best roles to date.

05. Lady Macbeth (2016)

This 2016 film is a change for Pugh. His exciting performance in the titular role caught the attention of many directors, putting him on the bright uphill path that we can still see him today. That’s right too – her turn as a young, unhappy wife who eventually turns violent is the kind of show that usually comes from a more experienced actor. No wonder Pugh shines when acting against young actors who always receive the same kind of praise, such as Timothée Chalamet and Saoirse Ronan. – Si MS

04. Black Widow (2021)

Black Widow is Marvel’s grand cinematic foray into Phase 4 of MCU, and even if it gets similar results, Pugh’s introduction as Natasha Romanoff’s sister Yelena is a breath of fresh air. Playing deftly off David Harbor and Rachel Weisz, Pugh’s comedic chops are fully featured in the film, albeit through the character’s thick Russian dialect.

Her next appearance as Yelena was recently released Hawkeye The TV movie is more beautiful, especially with its opposite scenes Hailee Steinfeld. Pugh has proven many times that he can play seriously, so when he settles down and has fun as Yelena, it’s even more fun. – Paolo Ragusa
