The ship has sailed 1899of time of Netflix.
The mystery thriller series—starring Emily Beecham, Aneurin Barnard, Andreas Pietschmann and Miguel Bernardeau—Cancelled by the streaming service more than a month after the release of the first season on November 17, its creators announced.
“It is with a heavy heart that we have to tell you that 1899 can’t be changed,” co-showrunners Jantje Frisian and Baran bo Odar announced the Odar’s Instagram. “We want to end this amazing journey with a 2nd and 3rd season like we did anger. But sometimes things don’t go the way you plan.”
The statement continued, “That’s life. We know it’s frustrating for the millions of fans out there.
In the comments, fans and the stars of the show expressed their sadness at the unfinished end of the series.
Lucas Lynggaard Tønnesenwho played the role of Krester in the show, commented, “See you again in another simulation. Love you to the moon and back.”
One fan went on to slam the recent move from Netflix, writing, “This isn’t their first weird decision. So sad.
