Noah Weiland, Son of Scott Weiland, Releases Debut Solo EP: Stream

Noah Weilandthe son later Stone Temple Pilots MAG SINGER Scott Weilandreleased his debut solo EP, titled Last Kiss Before Detox. The three-song effort includes his new single, “One Day,” along with two new tracks.

The last two years have been turbulent for Noah, who has been expelled from the left band. Suspek208, which also featured Slash’s son London Hudson on drums and Robert Trujillo’s son Tye Trujillo on bass. Other members of the group cited Noah’s “dark path of drug use” as the reason for his expulsion.

In an interview with iHeartRadio a few months ago, Noah revealed that he is entered rehab after splitting from the band, but insisted that his drug addiction really started after he was released from the group. He also said, “People want to see me as a bad statistic, I think. There were so many posts when the band was over and all the comments were like, ‘Oh, just like his dad, like his papa. ‘”

Today, he is releasing his new EP, writes Instagram, “This is my first OFFICIAL technical project, an EP that I put with all my heart. From the pain, the addiction, the love of my life, the sadness, the homelessness, being betrayed by the people I once loved and all my life. It’s just the beginning that I’m so excited about. I also consider it a dedication to the woman I love so much. The way I express what I feel is best is through ART.

He ended with a tribute to his deceased father, saying, “I wish my pops were here to hear it but now I’m going to take over.”

While the music he recorded with Suspect208 relies more on the hard rock side, his solo material is more pop-rock. In addition to “One Day,” the Last Kiss Before Detox The EP includes the tunes “Breakup Song” and “I Love You.”
