Ocean’s Eleven Prequel Set Production Start Date


According to Film and Television Industry Alliance, a Warner Bros. production.’ future without title Eleven in the Sea The prequel, starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling, is set to premiere this coming March 6. The listing also says the project is a remake of the original 1960 film. Sea 11.

The untitled Eleven in the Sea The prequel will be directed by Jay Roach from a screenplay written by Carrie Solomon. The project was created by Gary Ross, Josey McNamara, Michelle Graham, Tom Ackerley, and Olivia Milch.

So far, Robbie and Gosling are the only two confirmed cast members in the latest heist comedy, which takes place in 1960s Europe. This marks the latest collaboration between the two A-list stars since filming Greta Gerwig’s highly anticipated live-action. Barbie movie that will hit theaters later this year.

The original 1960 film was directed by Lewis Milestone. It starred members of the famous Rat Pack, including Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr., Peter Lawford, and Joey Bishop. The film is also directed by Emmy and Golden Globe-winning veteran actress Angie Dickinson.

In the early 2000s, Steven Soderbergh directed the remake of Eleven in the Sea which also features a star-studded ensemble led by George Clooney, Brad Pitt, and Matt Damon. Due to its success at the box-office, it was followed by three installments, including a spin-off Sea 8, featuring Sandra Bullock as Debbie Ocean, the sister of Clooney’s Danny Ocean. The franchise currently has a combined worldwide gross of over $1 billion at the box office.
