More than a month since its theatrical release, the One Thousand and One Peacock The release date has finally been announced.
When is One Thousand and One streaming on Peacock?
Focusing Features‘ The Teyana Taylor-led drama will be available for streaming later this week. The release date of One Thousand and One Peacocks is set for Friday, May 19.
“The film follows the unapologetic and free-spirited Inez, who kidnaps her six-year-old son Terry from the foster care system,” reads the synopsis. “Holding their secret and each other, mother and son begin to recover their sense of home, identity, and stability, in a rapidly changing New York City.”
One Thousand and One written and directed by AV Rockwell. Joining Taylor are Will Catlett, Josiah Cross, Aven Courtney and Aaron Kingsley Adetola. The movie is produced by Eddie Vaisman, Julia Lededev, Lena Waithe, Rishi Rajani, and Brad Weston, with Oren Moverman and Jamin O’Brien as executive producers.
The film had its world premiere earlier this year at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival, where it won the Grand Jury Prize.
