Part Two Léa Seydoux is added as Lady Margot

According to The deadline, No Time to Die Star Léa Seydoux has officially signed on to join Denis Villeneuve’s highly anticipated action sci-fi sequel Dune: Part Two. The French actress was most recently seen in David Cronenberg’s horror film body Future Crimes.

Seydoux is set to portray the role of Lady Margot, who, like Lady Jessica, is a Bene Gesserit described as a longtime servant of the Sisterhood. This marked the character’s live-action debut because she and her husband Count Hasimir Fenring were not included in David Lynch’s 1984 adaptation of Dune.

Dune: Part Two directed again by Denis Villeneuve. The returning cast includes Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Stellan Skarsgård, Dave Bautista, Zendaya, Javier Bardem, and Josh Brolin. Last year, Dune garnered critical praise from fans and critics. Earlier this year, it also garnered 10 Academy Award nominations and won six of them including Best Original Score, Best Sound, Best Film Editing, Best Cinematography, Best Production Design, and Best Visual Effects.

Production is expected to begin this July. It is currently scheduled to arrive in theaters on October 20, 2023.
