Peacock Comedy Bupkis Gets Release Date, First Look Pictures

The Peacock’s new comedy series Bupkis It’s official with a release date, with the Pete Davidson-led series set to premiere on May 4, 2023.

Along with news of the premiere date, the first look at the half-hour comedy was also shown, featuring series regulars Davidson, Edie Falco (who plays Davidson’s mother), and Joe Pesci (who playing Davidson’s grandfather). The images also show some of the guest stars set to appear in the series, including Charlie Day, Brad Garrett, Simon Rex, Ray Romano, Kenan Thompson, and Chase Sui Wonders.

Bupkis has been described as a “raw, unadulterated, fictionalized version of the real-life Pete Davidson,” and has been compared to the Larry David-led HBO. Curb Your Enthusiasm. It is set to include a mix of grounded storytelling with absurd elements, where it will reflect Davidson’s real-life persona “with an unapologetically unfiltered, R-rated storytelling.”

The series was co-written by Davidson, Judah Miller, and Dave Sirus, who also co-wrote Judd Apatow’s The King of Staten Island, which was also inspired by Davidson’s life. The executive producers are Sirus, Miller, Lorne Michaels, Andrew Singer, and Erin David, with Miller serving as showrunner.
