The Penguin The set photos give us our first look at the return of Colin Farrell as the titular villain who can be seen wearing a new suit in the character’s signature color.

Join Farrell Beauty starring Rhenzy Feliz, Cristin Milioti (Palm Springs), Michael Kelly (House of Cards), Shohreh Aghdashloo (The Clearing), Deirdre O’Connell (Outer Range), and Clancy Brown (The Shawshank Redemption). It is also rumored that Robert Pattinson may appear as Bruce Wayne/Batman.
Set in the world of 2022’s The Batman, the HBO Max series will focus on Oswald Cobblepot’s past and show his rise to power in Gotham’s underbelly rather than portraying him as an established king. The character has a rich history in live-action appearances, as Danny DeVito famously played the Penguin Batman is back as Robin Lord Taylor portrayed him Gotham.
The limited drama will be based on the DC characters created by Bob Kane and Bill Finger. It was written by Lauren LeFranc, who is also set as showrunner. The first two episodes were directed by Craig Zobel.
The future The Penguin series is executive produced by The BatmanDylan Clark and Matt Reeves, Farrell, LeFranc, Daniel Pipski, Adam Kassanand, and Rafi Crohn. It is a joint project between 6th and Idaho, DC Entertainment, Dylan Clark Productions, and Warner Bros. Television.
