Perry Farrrell Announces New Song with Kind Heaven Orchestra “Mend”

Alternative veteran stone Perry Farrell announces a new song “MEND” with his Good Heaven Orchestra project.

After nearly 40 years of playing Jane’s Addiciton and Porn for Pyros, Farrell performed the Kind Heaven Orchestra with his wife and co -worker Etty Lau Farrell for the 2019 album Good Heaven. The band is set to embark on a 2020 tour complete with a nine -piece band canceled due to COVID, but the legendary frontman used the make -up time to put together some of his musical peers for a new single due on May 21st.

“MEND” was written by Foo Fighters ’Taylor Hawkins, who also played on the track alongside Elliot Easton of The Cars and David Bryan of Bon Jovi. According to a press release, the song addresses the sadness of watching a friend fall. ”I want to be with him again in the clouds lover, circling my head. That’s the only way, I need to see him again so that my sad heart can heal ”, Farrell sings on the track.

The new single follows the release of Farrell’s compartation boxset THE GLITZ: THE GLAMOR which came in January. Last year, Farrell reunited with both Jane’s Addiction and Porno for Pyros for a pair of quarantine performances as part of Lollapalooza’s Lolla2020 live stream.
