Peter Dinklage is a Lovesick Poet in MGM’s Musical Drama


MGM finally released the official Cyrano trailer for the upcoming musical adaptation of the classic French drama Edmond Rostand, starring Emmy winner Peter Dinklage. The film has it’s world premiere in September at the 2021 Telluride Film Festival. It is now scheduled to arrive in U.S. theaters on Friday, December 31st.

The video, which you can watch below, shows Dinklage as the titular lovesick poet who is found trapped in an unlikely love triangle because of his feelings for his best friend, Roxanne. However, the only way for him to express his secret love for the woman of his dreams is by writing poems for his new friend, who is also in love with Roxanne.

Cyrano directed by Joe Wright (Pride & Prejudice) from a screen written by veteran theater actress and Dinklage’s wife Erica Schmidt. The film stars Peter Dinklage (Game of Thrones), Haley Bennett (The Devil of All Time), Kelvin Harrison Jr. (The Long Remember), Ben Mendelsohn (Bloodline), and Bashir Salahuddin (A Simple Favor).
