Radiohead’s Jonny Greenwood & Dudu Tassa Share New “Taq ou-Dub” Video: Watch

Jonny Greenwood and Dudu Tassa shared a live performance video of another song from their upcoming collaborative album, Jarak Garibakwhich comes out on June 9 via World Circuit. This is for the standard “Taq-ou-Dub,” and it features Palestinian vocalist Nour Freiteikh. Check it out below.

“The first song we recorded for this project was ‘Taq ou-Dub,'” Greenwood and Tassa said in a statement. “This is an old Lebanese song, now performed by Nour Freteikh, and, in fact, it is the beginning of the whole album, which connects Ramallah, Tel Aviv, Beirut, and Oxford. Nour, a wonderful singer, first recorded her vocal track remotely but eventually the three of us got together in person to rehearse and perform—and connect so well. We feel so lucky—and so proud—to have made a song, and friendship, with an amazing musician like Nour.”

“It’s a great opportunity to work with and learn from artists from other areas,” added Nour Freteikh. “The song is very special; it’s an oldie with a great tone. We had fun making it our own.”

Greenwood and Tassa previously shared visuals for “Or Mughir al-Ghazala,” featuring Karrar Alsaadi, and “Ashufak Shay” with Lebanese singer Rashid Al Najjar. Tassa and Greenwood are scheduled to perform at Pitchfork Music Festival in London on Friday, November 10.
