Ray Liotta Cause of Death Revealed for Actor


Goodfellas star Ray LiottaThe cause of death was revealed to be heart and respiratory issues nearly a year after the death of the iconic star.

TMZ stated that from the documents obtained and seen by the outlet, the cause of Liotta’s death was considered “natural and not violent.” The documents reportedly mention respiratory insufficiency, pulmonary edema (better known as fluid in the lungs) and acute heart failure. Apparently, the star also suffers from atherosclerosis – a condition of thickened arteries due to the formation of plaques in the inner lining. Liotta died in his sleep on May 26, 2022.

Before his breakout role as Henry Hill in Martin Scorsese’s Goodfellas, Liotta earned a Golden Globe nomination for his role as Ray Sinclair in 1986’s Something Wild and played Shoeless Joe Jackson in 1989’s Field of Dreams. Liotta also famously voiced the main character in the hit video game Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, Tommy Vercetti.

At the time of his death, the star was in the Dominican Republic filming the movie Dangerous Waters. Liotta was 67 years old when he died last year. He is engaged to Jacy Nittolo and leaves behind one daughter, Karsen.
