Riverdale’s Ryan Grantham Sentenced to Life for Killing His Mother

Ryan Grantham’s fate is revealed.

The 24-year-old, who previously starred in the CW series Riverdale, was sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole for 14 years, according to a statement obtained by E! News of September 22 from BC Prosecution Services. The court also issued a lifetime firearms ban for Grantham on Sept. 20 sentencing. Life sentences and firearms bans are mandatory for second-degree murder in British Columbia, according to the statement.

After his sentence, Ryan’s attorney Chris Johnson said E! News that Grantham is “working hard to turn his life around” after being arrested.

“He’s received a lot of psychological help and he’s struggling with what he’s done and dealing with that,” Johnson said in a statement, “but he hopes he can dedicate the rest of his life to making amends.”

The decision by the Supreme Court of British Columbia came after he pleaded guilty in March to second-degree murder in the death of his mother, according to a statement obtained by E! June news from Dan McLaughlin of the BC Prosecution Service.
