HBO Max’s upcoming second season of And Like That… has officially announced the addition of Grammy-winning artist Sam Smith, who will join returning cast members Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, and Kristin Davis. Production on Season 2 continues today in New York City, with Nixon once again directing an episode for Sex and the City spin-off.
News of Smith’s casting comes with the release of a new behind-the-scenes photo, which shows the “Unholy” singer on set. More details about their character are still being kept under wraps.

The series stars Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, Kristin Davis, Sara Ramírez, Sarita Choudhury, Nicole Ari Parker, Karen Pittman, Mario Cantone, David Eigenberg, Willie Garson, and Evan Handler. Aside from Smith, Season 2 will also feature the return of franchise vet John Corbett as he reprises his role as Aidan Shaw.

The original Sex and the City The series is set and shot in New York City, Nominated for more than 50 Emmy Awards and winning seven, the HBO show has 94 episodes broadcast over six seasons, which premiered on June 6, 1998 and ended on February 22, 2004. It was followed by a Sex and the City movie in 2008, which was followed by Sex and the City 2 in 2010, both were successful at the box office. A Sex and the City 3 Developed in 2016 but ultimately canceled due to co-star Kim Cattrall not wanting to revisit the part of Samantha.
