SoundCloud is testing its iOS and Android app features with a select pool of users.

Powered by artificial intelligence, SoundCloud’s new music discovery feature draws many similarities to TikTok. The new vertical feed reportedly allows users to seamlessly scroll between songs and it will highlight clips as they browse.
The company is testing its iOS and Android app features with a select pool of users. These beta testers will see new “Discover” and “Following” pages under the Feed tab. The AI component means SoundCloud can be more in-tune with what you’re listening to on the platform, and the Discover page will show tracks “based on your listening history and musical taste.”
As SoundCloud recommends tracks on the Discover page, captions appear above the song name, letting users know why they’re recommending that particular track: “Because you follow Artist A” or ” Because you like Song XYZ.” Listeners can also enjoy an updated way to comment on music and add it to a playlist.

Last year, SoundCloud launched a nice bot integration with Discord, a community building social media service which is especially popular in the gaming and technology sector.
SoundCloud also announced a completely changing the name of its creator servicesto “SoundCloud For Artists.” The initiative is led by Tracy Chan, a former Twitch and Spotify executive who is credited with creating the streaming giant. Spotify for Artists platform.
