Staying Connected to God: A 60 -Day Challenge

First Thessalonians 5: 16-18 tells us, “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, be thankful in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus toward you. ”

Life often hinders our desire to connect with Jesus as our source of contentment and joy. We are busy raising children, investing in our marriage, and building our careers. We are distracted by technology and lost in difficult circumstances. Life weighs us down, and we are disconnected from God.

Pastor and author John Burke disciplined himself to stay connected to God from time to time. His desire to help his church experience God in such a way inspired him to develop the “60-60 Experiment,” a challenge that encouraged Christians to maintain an ongoing conversation with God for 60 days.

Pastor Burke described the potential of the 60-60 Experiment for change as a “revolution of the soul” where we learn to experience a constant connection with God fulfilling our deepest desires and transforming. -or us life -giving people.
