The famous Stranger Things scene where the heroic character Eddie Munson is cut Metallica“Master of Puppets” by Imortalized as the newly announced Funko Pop! collectable.
The Season 4 scene, which premiered on Netflix last summer, has proven to be a pop-culture phenomenon, as Eddie (played by Joseph Quinn) and Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo) battle against flying aliens. Debate. When it aired, a lovefest took place between Metallica and Quinn, who invited to the jam with the band backstage at their Lollapalooza gig. It was also revealed later that the son of Metallica bassist Robert Trujillo, Tye recorded the “Master of Puppets” riff that Eddie is heard playing in the scene.
The new product was revealed during Funko Fair 2023. It is part of Funko’s “Deluxe Pop! Moment” series and features Eddie (with a guitar) and Dustin alongside the evil Demobats.
The vinyl-figure set is currently available for pre-order from Fun Land for $59.99, with a listed release date of May 2023. You can grab one right away, as an individual Funko Pop! The Eddie Munson figure sold out immediately upon its release last year.
Metallica, meanwhile, is set to release a new album, 72 Timeon April 14. The band will support the LP at a 2023-2024 North American tour, where they will play two spectacular sets over two nights in each city. Opening acts include Pantera, Mammoth WVH, Five Finger Death Punch and more, with tickets available is here.
