J. Cole sent Dreamville fans into a frenzy on Tuesday by announcing a new album titled The Timeless, and now he’s splitting the lead single, “interlude”. Stream it below.
To hear what the North Carolina rapper has to say, releasing the track was a quick decision. “I told myself I would drop the album all at once,” he said WROTE on Twitter. “Sometimes you have to say it’s a weakness.”
The Timeless fell on May 14. While announcing the project, Cole described follow-up until 2018 CODE as “years of making,” lining up his first mockery of the LP. “The Timeless Coming soon… All the way to The Fall, ”He wrote in the description for his 2018 “Album of the Year (Freestyle)” video.
2020 was a relatively quiet year for Cole, even as he made headlines “Snow on tha Bluff”, which was seen as a diss track against the Chicago rapper No name. In July, Cole fell a couple of packs of the songs, “The Climb Back” and “Lion King on Ice”.
