The sound of the song is reminiscent of Kennedy’s debut solo album, Year of the Tiger, which is fully acoustic. Lyrics wise, “Love Rain Down” is a “request born out of a desire for answers and comfort from all the dark possibilities of the day,” according to a release.
“Love Rain Down” is the fourth song to come on Kennedy’s second solo album, The Ides of March, to be released May 14 via Napalm Records. Previously released tracks are included “With Power”, “The Ides of March”, ug “Negotiation”.
Kennedy will not only sing on the upcoming album, he will also perform lead guitar.
