Zeds is dead and Subtronics recruited a very special guest for their third collaboration.
For “Gassed Up,” the second single on Subtronics ’upcoming album Fractals, the trio of bass music producers teamed up with the strength of grime heavyweight Flowdan. Combining his lyrical abilities with the trio’s massive bass, each vocal interlude puts out a supercharged bass drop interspersed with motorized, choppy wobbles.
Check out the new single below.
In a press release, Zeds Dead talked about working with Subtronics for the third time since their 2019 single ”Bumpy Tooth“and Atmosphere’s 2020 remix”GodLovesUgly. ”They also revealed how“ Gassed Up ”has been in the works since the summer and that Flowdan is the missing piece needed to complete the release.
“This is our 3rd time working with homie Subtronics and each time is an amazing experience,” Zeds Dead said. “It’s been tested on the road since the summer and it takes a bit of vocal dialing but when we connected to the legendary Flowdan we knew we had it!”
Those who have been in the crowd for their performances recently may have gotten an early hearing on the track. Subtronics shared clips before its official unveil on its Twitter, sparking a lot of anticipation among its fans.
“Gassed Up” is the second single released on Subtronics’ debut album after his wonky, dreamlike collaboration with Nevve, “Spacetime, “before the full release later this month. You can pre-save Fractals HERE.
