Suspected Killer of Migos’ Takeoff Formally Charged with Murder

Last December, a man named Patrick Xavier Clark arrested with the murder on Migos rapper Takeoffwho shot and killed on November 1 in Houston, Texas. Now, Clark has been formally charged with murder, TMZ reports and Pitchfork can be confirmed. Clark was indicted by a Texas grand jury on Thursday (May 25), according to the Harris County District Attorney’s Office.

Following his arrest, Clark was released on $1 million bond in early January. According to the report from Associated Press at the time, Clark’s family tried to lower his bond to $300,000, telling the court they couldn’t pay anything higher. Clark’s attorney stated that his client had a “valid and sound claim for self-defense,” according to the Associated Press.

Takeoff was playing dice at a Houston bowling alley on November 1, 2022, when gunfire erupted, while TMZ and local media reported at the time. His death was officially ruled a homicide due to the nature of his gunshot wounds. Takeoff was on the 28th.
