In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Euphoria Star Sydney Sweeney has once again revealed about joining the next Marvel film at Sony Pictures, Madame Web. Sweeney describes landing her mysterious role as a complete dream come true, especially since she’s been a fan of the genre for a long time.
“I grew up watching Marvel movies, and superheroes were just the coolest thing,” Sweeney shares. “That’s why I just dream of being a part of something bigger than life itself. And that’s how I feel I can be a part of others Madame Web. ”
at Sony Madame Web led by Dakota Johnson as the titular character in Spider-Man. Johnson was joined by young actress Sydney Sweeney (Euphoria), Celeste O’Connor (Ghostbusters: After Life), and Isabela Merced (Transformers: The Last Knight) with Golden Globe nominee Tahar Rahim.
Created by writer Denny O’Neil and artist John Romita Jr. in 1980, Madame Web was a blind psychic who became a major player in the world of Spider-Man due to its association with “The Great Web,” a multiversal construct that connects all “Spider” characters throughout the multiverse.
