SZA has released a new music video for “Kill Bill” from his new album SOS. Directed by Christian Breslauer, the clip draws heavily from Quentin Tarantino’s film of the same name, with a katana-wielding SZA taking revenge on a violent ex-lover. It also features a second sequence with SOS track “Seek & Destroy,” in which SZA hangs naked from the ceiling restrained by shibari, a Japanese slavery-style decoration. Check it out below.
SOS is SZA’s second studio full-length, following 2017’s Ctrland he first no. 1 album. At 23 tracks, the new LP features Phoebe Bridgers, Travis Scott, Don Toliver, and samples by Björk and the late Ol’ Dirty Bastard. SZA tapped several producers for the SOSincluding ThankGod4Cody, Carter Lang, Jeff Bhasker, Benny Blanco, Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds, Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins, and Jay Versace.
On December 3, SZA was the musical guest at Saturday Night Live. He performed “Shirt” and “Blind” at the show, with his stage backdrop serving as the official announcement of his album’s release date. SZA also sang in a digital skit about loving “big boys.”
