The PlayStation VR2 launch lineup has slow growing in the end several months. Sony has now gone even further and confirmed a whole new range of titles that will be there on February 22nd, as well as a few more that will drop in the following weeks and months.
As shown in PlayStation Blog, Sony revealed a brief picture of the games coming to PS VR2 during the launch window. Most of them are at launch, but few are set to finish. This latest post also does not include every game that has been revealed so far and has little change compared to previous posts about the headset. This image includes the latest batch of reveals, which are as follows:
In Front of Your Eyes
In Front of Your Eyes a beloved narrative title from 2021 and coming to PS VR2 on March 10 for $14.99. It is a unique game that tells a touching story that unfolds when players blink their eyes. The virtual reality headset itself is able to track that unique style of input, previously captured through a PC and mobile camera.
Kayak VR: Mirage
This PS VR2 launch game, as its title implies, allows players to paddle a kayak through a realistic natural environment. It came to PC in 2022 and was well received.
Pavlov coming to PC in 2017 is a multiplayer military shooter with a “heavy focus on community features.” It has a “Very Positive” rating on Steam and was there at the launch of PS VR2.
Confusing Places a puzzle game with 3D puzzle pieces that reached other headsets (including PS VR) in 2021 and scored well. It now has sharper textures, higher rendering resolution, eye tracking, and haptic feedback and roomscale support. It will also run at 120 frames per second, have a 1,000-piece puzzle, and will be a free upgrade for those with the PS4 version when it launches alongside PS VR2.
Dog’s Song: Rekindled
Dog Song is a survival game that originally came to the VR headset in 2021 and will be a free upgrade for those who have the PS4 version. However, this PS VR2 launch port has a new free jump and clamber mode.
Synth Riders: Remastered Edition
Synth Riders has been coming to other headsets since 2018, and now the VR rhythm game is launching on PS VR2. Like the other games here, it features remastered visuals, haptic feedback support, and improved load times. Players with the PS4 version will also receive a free upgrade and get all the DLC they purchased.
What is a Bat?
What is a Bat? released in 2022 and followed What is Golf? The brand of weird, slapstick humor, but uses a different sport. It will launch alongside PS VR2.
Thumper another PS VR launch hit that also launched PS VR2. This “rhythm violence” game has players controlling a space beetle and reacting to the music. It doesn’t seem to have a free upgrade path, though.
NFL Pro Era
NFL Pro Era released in 2022 and will be a free upgrade for PS VR owners. This football game allows players to be the quarterback of their favorite NFL team when it comes out on PS VR2.
Improvement of Rez Infinite launched on PS VR and also launched on PS VR2. It can be played on PS5 except in VR and there is a $9.99 upgrade fee for those with the PS4 version. PS4 saves can also be transferred to this native PS5 port. Players can focus their eyeballs this time and experience improved haptic feedback through controllers and headsets.
Tetris Effect: Connected
Improvement of Tetris Effect: Connected also launched PS VR2. It has a $9.99 upgrade fee for existing owners and is playable outside of VR natively on PS5. It even allows users to import their PS4 saves. Players can now activate the Zone by closing and opening their eyes and experience haptic feedback through the controller and headset.
Creed: Rise to Glory – Championship Edition
Creed: Rise to Glory – Championship Edition is a remaster of the 2018 VR boxing title and features reworked online multiplayer, cross-platform play, and future tie-ins Creed III. However, it won’t launch on PS VR2.
The Last Clockwinder
The Last Clockwinder is one of the standout VR games of 2022 and launched on PS VR2. Players must creatively solve Rube Goldberg-like puzzles in several different ways and do so by recording their actions and playing them back through several different robotic clones.
Job Simulator previously unconfirmed, but will join the launch roster alongside Owlchemy Labs’ Cosmonious High. It was one of the more acclaimed games of the PS VR launch line in 2016 and had players doing strange tasks in an office setting. It is not confirmed that there is a free upgrade.
Vacation Simulator also not confirmed until now and it is also not clear if it will have a free upgrade. This game has the same spiritual tone as its predecessor and swaps office tasks for vacation-oriented ones.
