The Destruction Coming to Gotham Images Villains Preview


New Batman: Destruction Comes to Gotham Images have been released, showing some of the villains set to appear in the upcoming film.

The images show the movie’s Lovecraftian spin on some of Batman’s most iconic villains. Included in the batch are shots of Talia al Ghul, an evolved version of Oswald Cobblepot — better known as The Penguin — with a group of mutated penguins, and Bruce Wayne exploring an icy cavern. Also included is a look at the Elseworlds version of Killer Croc, which looks terrifying.

Based on the comic series by Mike Mignola, Richard Pace, and Troy Nixey, Batman: Destruction Has Come To Gotham is “a 1920s-based tale that finds explorer Bruce Wayne accidentally unleashing an ancient evil, prompting his return to Gotham City after a two-decade hiatus,” according to the official which is the synopsis for the film. “The logic/scientific-driven Batman must fight the Lovecraftian supernatural forces that threaten the very existence of Gotham, along the way aided and confronted by reimagined versions of his famous allies and enemies, including the Green Arrow, Ra’s al Ghul, Mr. Freeze, Killer Croc, Two-Face, James Gordon, and Bruce’s beloved wards. Get ready for a mysterious, often terrifying Batman adventure like no other.

Batman: Destruction Comes to Gotham stars David Giuntoli (Grimm, A Million Little Things) as he reprises his role as Batman after his portrayal of Batman: Soul of the Dragon. Tati Gabrielle also appeared in the film (Kaleidoscope) as Kai Li Cain, Christopher Gorham (The Lincoln Lawyer) as Oliver Queen, Patrick Fabian (Better Call Saul) as Harvey Dent, John DiMaggio (Futurama) as James Gordon, and David Dastmalchian (Dune, The Suicide Squad, Ant man) said Grendon.

The film is the latest installment in the ongoing DC Universe Animated Original Movies lineup. Also planned for 2023 is Justice League: World at War and an as-yet-untitled Milestone Media film announced by DC Fandome in October 2021.
