The Last of Us star Bella Ramsey opened up about the upcoming first season finale, which she believes will be quite divisive.
In an interview with British Vogue, the actress was asked about the recent eighth episode, which saw Ellie face off against the menacing settlement leader David himself. Ramsey explained that filming the penultimate installment was exhausting but fun.
“It was … tiring, but those were some of my favorite days on set,” Ramsey said. “That’s very maochistic, but it’s the scenes that break me that I love the most, in a way.”
The star was then asked about the series finale, which is scheduled to air this coming Sunday. “It’s going to divide people a lot — a lot,” Ramsey explained.
“The live-action series takes place 20 years after the destruction of modern civilization,” reads the synopsis. “Joel and Ellie, a couple connected by the brutality of the world they live in, are forced to endure brutal conditions and brutal killers on a journey across a post-pandemic America.”
The Last of Us is now available to watch on HBO and HBO Max.
