After the theatrical run of the hit animated movie, the Puss in Boots: The Last Wish Peacock’s release date is set for its streaming debut.
DreamWorks Animation announced the Puss in Boots: The Last Wish Peacock release date on Friday, confirming that the film will premiere on Peacock on March 10, 2023. It joins several other DreamWorks projects on the service, including Shrek franchise, The Croodsand Trolls World Tour. In addition, the Puss in Boots Shorts Series of short films are also available on the streaming service.
After its launch, Puss in Boots: The Last Wish received stellar reviews from critics and audiences alike, praising the animation styles, themes, voice acting, and more. The film grossed nearly $500 million worldwide and became the second highest-grossing animated film of 2022. It was also nominated for Best Animated Feature at various award shows, including the upcoming Academy Awards.
“The sequel will once again follow Puss in Boots as he discovers that his love for adventure has gone awry,” reads the synopsis. “He has burned eight of his nine lives, leaving him with only one life left. Puss embarks on an epic journey to find the mythical Last Wish and get his nine lives back.
The film features the voices of Antonio Banderas, Salma Hayek Pinault, Harvey Guillen, Florence Pugh, Jack Horner, John Mulaney, Wagner Moura, Olivia Colman, Ray Winstone, Samson Kayo, Anthony Mendez, and Da’Vine Joy Randolph.
